The first few things you will need to bake banana bread are as follows:
- 4 {almost} brown bananas
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 stick of butter
- 2 cups of flour {depending on whether you prefer your bread to be more or less cakey, this is a perfect measurement of in between bread and cake.)
- a pinch or two of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
Instructions:
1. First, you want to make sure you smash the bananas (for ease, I use a fork and put the bananas against a plate or clean surface) and preheat the oven to 375 F.
2. After the bananas are smashed, you want to mix all of your wet ingredients into a large bowl: eggs, sugar, butter, and salt.
3. Once all of your wet ingredients are mixed thoroughly, you can now add in the mushed bananas, flour, and baking soda.
4. The amount of ingredients used can fill two medium-sized loaf pans. You want to strictly make sure that you fill the pan half-way so you can avoid the pan overflowing when the mixture rises.
5. Once the oven is heated and the mixture is thoroughly mixed, put the pans in the oven and let it bake for about 45 minutes. After the 45 minutes are up, use a toothpick to see if the inside is cooked well enough.
6. After you let the loaves cool, they are yours to enjoy! Some tasty add-ins: walnuts, pecans, chocolate chips, butterscoth chips, caramel chips, etc. Cream cheese is a wonderful topping as well.
