Ein

Ein was modified in a laboratory until a criminal stole him intending to sell him. They put him into a briefcase and escaped the facility. While setting up a price with the buyer, the briefcase was stolen by another thief unaware of its contents.

What exactly was done to him was not widely known. Ein became part of the Bebop crew when Spike saved him from the thief, and is a good friend of Edward.
