History of Porsche

The history of Porsche begins with Professor Ferdinand Porsche. He and 19 others began an order book for their start up in 1930.

In 1931 Ferdinand has the company officially registered. At the time he did not plan to build any vehicles, but instead wanted to work for clients. The sketchbook pictured below was used for early designs around the 30's and 40's.

In 1948 the very first model was developed named the 365 by Ferdinand and 200 workers. Then in 1952, they released the most popular model yet, the 550 Spyder.

The 1975 Porsche 911 turbo was the original 911 and was one of the fastest cars in Germany at the time.This car has been a favortie for Porsche fans for many years.
