There are many different types of animals that live in Mount Rainier National Park. There are sixty-three species of mammals, sixteen species amphibians, and five speicies of reptiles. The wildlife ranges from elk and deer to golden-mantled ground-squirrels. Some of the featured wilflife are elks and black bears.

Aside from just animals, there are many different types of plants that are native there. Mount Rainier is world-renowned for it's wild flower meadows. The meadows of Mt. Rainier burst with beautiful colors every July through August. Avalanche lilies, asters, fireweed, and purple shooting stars cover the mountain with every color in the rainbow.
