Orbit

The roadster has completed an orbit around the Sun. SpaceX may launch a small spacecraft to take pictures of the roadster. Elon Musk says that the roadster could orbit for a BILLION years.

Predictions

Simulations predicted a 6% chance of the roadster hitting the Earth, and a 2% chance for the roadster to hit Venus. After 3 million years, the chance of it hitting the Earth goes up to 10%. There is a 50% chance of the roadster lasting millions of years in space.

More Predictions

The roadster has been projected to be in space for 20 million years, however, Elon Musk says that it could last 1 billion years in orbit. In 2091, the roadster will come close to Earth again.

Leaving Earth

Here is the image of the roadster leaving Earth. It took off at the Launch Complex 39A at the Kennedy Space Center. The launch was live streamed on YouTube and you can see the images of the launch.
