JP Morgan was born in Hartford, Connecticut, in 1837 (April) -- already being born in one of two distinguished families that were there. He was educated in: Boston, Switzerland, and Germany; was "forced" by his father into international finance. By 1857- at the solid age of 20- at his fathers bank.
As an adult he was known as a "reorginazier" in other words - he was known by changing companies to gain more profit, such as: General Electric, US Steel, and International harvester.
Even though JP Morgan was a man of the bank, he gained all of his money through all the Railroad companies.
Before he gained all his money though the Railroads, there was a Financial Crisis of 1893. He decided to help the Railroad companies, by merging companies, and then became a stockholder for all of them.
