The Beach Boys are an American rock band. They formed in Hawthorne, California, in 1961. They began as an early garage band led by Brian Wilson.
The band consisted of brothers Brian, Dennis, and Carl Wilson, their cousin Mike Love, and their friend Al Jardine. Brian was composer, arranger, producer, and de facto leader.
He often incorporated classical elements and unconventional recording techniques in innovative ways, which is why they are named one of the most influential acts of the rock era.
