Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park is a place of wonders. From being the size of 2 states combined, and holding such diverse wildlife, it captivates up to 3.29 million people a year, and its beauty that pull in so many, does not seem to be depleting.


 Yellowstone FIeld

Yellowstone is home to the American Bison. The herds that occupy Yellowstone are thought to be the largest public herd of Bison in the United States, totaling around 4,800 in 2020. Many people travel to Yellowstone just to get a glimps at the Bison, but are also graced with the rest of beauty in the park.

Yellowstone National Park is home to the natural wonder of the Rainbow Hot Springs. A natueal marvel that ranges from about 370 feet across, to about 120 feet! The name comes from the thousands of micro organisms that makes the water seem almost prismatic.

Electric Peak

The highest peak in the National Park is called Electric Peak. Positioned 10,969 feet above sea level, it provides the highest view possible in the park. It proves a challenge to hikers as the mountain stands 3,389 feet from its base.

Yellowstone valley

152 years ago, Yellowstone National Park was created by COngress under President Ulysses S. Grant. This makes Yellowstone National Park the oldest national park in the world. Although it wasn't designated as a National Park until 1872, the land that the park sits on has been inhabited for thousands of years by Native Americans that hunted, gathered, and fished on the land.
