Black Ops 1, the first Black Ops.

BO1 has zombies, campaign, and multiplayer modes. It is my personal favourite, and possibly one of the most Call of Duty-game revolutionizing entry to the series.

BO1, being the first Black Ops game, was amazing for the time, and was a really well designed game. In it's zombies mode, it had multiple maps including bought-maps, and remasters of original World at War zombies maps, Verruckt, Nacht der Untoten, Der Reise, and Shi No Numa.

In Multiplayer, you could play with 100s of other people online, with many different modes and maps. Some modes could include hardpoint, team deathmatch, free for all, and many others. This was the first game to introduce a dolphin dive, a predecessor to the slide in newer games.

These are very few of very many different things in this game that make it interesting. This is why people enjoyed, and continue to enjoy the game.
