The picture above is a diagram of what the Heicopter looks like. In other words, this is also called Ingenuity.
Above shows the Helicopter up close. This is also a Diagram talking about the parts of the helicopter. The Diagram shows the Antennas, Solar Panel, the Blades, the Batteries, Avionics and Body, the Legs, finally the Sensors and Cameras.
Why did NASA create this? Well, the helicopter was intended to perform a 30 day technology demonstration. They also wanted to know what it was like on Mars, NASA needed a machine to handle the thin air on mars and created a Helicopter that could handle the thin air and was able to take pictures.
The Helicopter was first deployed on April 3rd 2021 and landed on the Jezero crater on Mars. In totoal, the Helicopter had 35 fights, the first one was on 19th of April in 2021. The last flight was on December 3rd of 2022.
