Carmelo Anthony is a Jordan Brand athlete, and this spring, the label is dropping an Air Jordan 9 Melo (MOP) to honor Carmelo Anthony and his National Championship in 2003 with Syracuse University. During that victory his efforts earned him the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player trophy and his alma mater their first and only title. The sneaker basically features a trophy-inspired look, as the shoe’s gold and brown accents are offset by a white leather base, Melo’s number, 15, on the heel, his logo on the insole in script, and embossed leather resembling wood grain surrounding the sneaker.
