Jim Morrison was the lead singer of The Doors. He studied poetry for some time but later turned to music, incorporating his poetry into his songs instead.
The doors are a 60's/70's rock band that are well known for their "wild-side". With Jim Morrison as lead singer, other members would consist of Ray Manzarek (organ), Robby Krieger (guitarist), John Densmore (drum),Patty Sulivan (bass guitarist) and Jim Manzarek (harmonica). The band is widely known but not many people actually know about the issues the band strggled with during their career.
Riders on the Storm
The song "Riders on the Storm" is arguably one of their most popular songs, released in 1971. The origional version is over 7 minutes long and consists of mostly instrumental solos.
The band officially got together in 1965, releasing their first few songs. They originated in Los Angeles with four members. Jim was around 21-22 when the band first started out, meaning the band only lasted for a few years.
It wasn't a secret that the band lived in the moment, following the trends of drug usage during the 60's and 70's. Although it was a popular thing to do, it didn't stop the band from creating their music and becoming one of the most popular artists during those years.
